It focuses on something that has always puzzled me, why some Christians prefer external sources as the basis for their beliefs rather than the Word of God. Of course, those who market Christian materials wouldn't agree, because this is how they are earning a living. Sadly, it seems that more and more often, worldly ideas and concepts are adopted by the Church and Christians in business, and are "christianized." However, that doesn't make them biblical! For the record, I agree with you on the whole thing.etywhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13805210703508567760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7331584299826708657.post-62544967075347301652008-02-01T07:20:00.000-06:002008-02-01T07:20:00.000-06:00I feel your pain. Arguing is one of those things that I loathe and yet find myself doing anyway, usually in a wrong way.

I have found that most ideas are probably best not shared to minimize conflict so that when the big ideas come in--for me those are my Christian ideas, salvation, etc--your argument is not clouded by all your other ideas and past hostilities, you have some capital to work with so to speak.

Anyway. my conclusion is that we fight too much about stupid things and not enough about what is eternal. Fight the fight!jeffhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08661253413210243056noreply@blogger.com
